In all our activities, we strive to minimise adverse environmental impacts. The most efficient and simplest way to do this is to optimise the sailing speed.
Our whole fleet is able to use Neste's co-processed marine fuel, which will reduce lifecycle GHG emissions by up to 80%.
We also offer our customers the possibility to opt in for Virtual Arrival, which strives to optimise the vessel’s speed during the passage and minimise the waiting time at the anchorage. By reducing the vessel’s speed, it is also possible to reduce the consumption and consequently CO2 emissions and congestion in the port and anchorage area when the vessel is able to enter the port directly on arrival.

Dry bulk and breakbulk
Our large fleet of ice-strengthened general cargo vessels between 4,000 and 6,000 dwt provides customers with the possibility to choose the most suitable vessel size for each shipment.
We carry bulk commodities such as fertilizers, grain and dry biofuels. All of our vessels have bulkheads enabling the loading of different cargoes or grades in one shipment without needing to worry about mixing. Some vessels are equipped with dehumidifiers to control the moisture in the cargo hold.
Usual break bulk cargoes include steel products, sawn timber and woodpulp. With the support of our own supercargo personnel always available to assist the crew in preparing the most optimal stowage plan, our vessels are the perfect fit for challenging breakbulk shipments. Some of the vessels are equipped with removable tweendecks increasing the loading capacity of steel products.
Project cargoes
With the support of our own supercargo personnel always available to assist the crew in preparing the most optimal stowage plan, our vessels are the perfect fit for project shipments.
Our vessels have carried various types of project cargo including windmill parts, house modules and Azipod propulsion units.
Most of the fleet offers 50-65 metre unobstructed hold which is perfect for longer units. Our vessels are also capable of taking cargo on deck either as project cargo or as containers.

Tugboat Charlie can provide transfer service to the Raahe roads for personnel and spare parts. In addition, Charlie provides harbour icebreaking.
