Project cargoes

Our fleet offers a wide range of options based on the size of your cargo. Our new Electramar-class vessels, featuring a bridge-forward design, enable significantly higher deck loads compared to other vessels.

In-house expertise for demanding cargoes

With the support of our dedicated supercargo personnel, who are always available to collaborate closely with crews, we ensure the highest standards in stowage planning. This expertise guarantees that every project cargo, no matter how specialised or challenging, is managed with precision and safety. Our modern fleet is designed to accommodate a wide array of project shipments, including windmill components, prefabricated house modules, and advanced Azipod propulsion systems.

The majority of our vessels feature unobstructed cargo holds ranging from 50 to 65 meters, providing optimal space and flexibility for securely transporting long and heavy units. Additionally, our vessels are fully equipped to carry cargo both in holds and on deck, enabling us to transport oversized project cargoes or standard containers with maximum efficiency. This versatility ensures reliable and cost-effective solutions tailored to meet the unique demands of each project.

Case: Windmill tower sections

Ecomar successfully transported four consignments of windmill tower sections from Germany to Köpmanholmen, Sweden. The winter conditions necessitated the use of an ice-class vessel, and the cargo was efficiently stowed to an unobstructed hold and extensive deck space.

Case: 141-ton drum pulpers

Optimar-series vessel loaded two large, 141-ton drum pulper units in Kemi, Finland bound for Continental Europe. Thanks to her 13,18-metre wide hold, it was possible to load two of these massive units side by side.

The dimensions of the drum pulpers were 32,24 m x 5,0 m x 5,13 m.
